We have to STOP sugar coating HIV/AIDS. Yes you can live a long productive life. What about those things that people aren't hearing. The side effects from the medications, the depression, the isolation, the STIGMA, loss of family & friends, the difficulties of relationships, being able to get assistance if you don't fall into the right spot because of your income. All those who are living this, need to be at the table discussing it to those who are newly diagnosed & those who are at risk.
Adults don’t seem to grasp the concept of safe sex either. As far as kids in school? Messages are far more reaching to them on social media and tv. Watch shows about hooking up on MTV VH1 etc do they EVER discuss safe sex? Even on 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom the focus is in preventing pregnancy All MTV reality shows should be bearing responsibility to their young audiences too! Media is far more reaching than school ...

I truly believe we need sex education in our schools. Being uneducated is not an option. I used to tell my testimony at middle and high school through AID Atlanta. But we were only allowed to talk about abstinence and not the proper way of using condoms or just condoms period. The reality is kids are having sex and need to be taught. I wish I could help all around the world with sex education and sharing my story.
